Blue Ridge Youth Retreat

October 24-26 2008

This retreat was started to provide an environment of learning and spiritual growth of the teens in the Roanoke Valley. It is a place for teens to come enjoy good food, fellowship, and spiritual growth with their peers. This years retreat is taking place October 24th though the 26th. Our History

The first youth retreat was hosted by Soul Changers sister youth group "Thirst" in 2006. The following year Soul Changers hosted it and had visiting youth groups from as far as Tennessee and Ohio. This year we hope to make this retreat another special event. BRYR is located at the Blue Ridge Holiness Camp Grounds out side of Copper Hill Virginia just before Floyd Virginia, on Bear Ridge Road. It is a growing camp ground with a new tabernacle put up in the summer of 2007.

This Years Speakers

This year we will be hearing from two different speakers. Brent Vernon will be the speaker for the Friday and Saturday services. And Brian Taylor will speak in on Sunday. Join us in hearing what God has given them to say to us.

Brent Vernon

Brent Vernon is currently living in Hobe Sound Florida

What Brent is doing now:

Brent has a great talent in leading worship and composing music that challenges and comforts too. He is soon to begin a new recording project in Nashville, Tn with one of the top producers in the nation.

Brian Taylor

Brian Taylor was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho and currently lives in Clinton, Tennessee.

Basketball
and spending time with my Family.

What Brian is doing now:

Brian is currently the youth pastor in Clinton, TN.
And loves every minute of it!
